This graph shows
how water cost has varied over the last few years.
The costs include water and sewerage charges plus standing
charges. Since 2003 water costs have risen around 30% and
yet in real terms we are paying over 35% less today than we were
then.
This graph shows
the percentage cost saving by comparing March to September
periods with March 2002 to September 2002 and September to
March periods with September 2002 to March 2003. It is now
going to get much harder to save water and I expect the cost
savings to tail off somewhat over the next year.
