Review Of The 2006 Heat Survey Results

A number of points come across very clearly from this survey.

1. There is a large potential saving by improving insulation and draught reduction..

2. Whilst various improvements have been made on an ad-hoc basis since 2004 they were not necessarily the ones with the best pay back.

3. The first item is improved loft insulation on the basis the loft floor area ia very large and those areas not floored only have around 150mm of insulation.

4. The second item is to improve insulation on the two loft doors.

5. The third item is to sort out the lagging of all heating pipes in the loft.

6. The forth item to implement is reflective foil behind each radiator on an outside wall.

7. Once the above have been implemented carry out another review.
