House 2 - Summary Of Oil Cost Savings

CO2 Savings Cost Savings Use Reduction
The graph below shows how daily oil cost has varied over the first year and a half. The short term variations are due to usage changes caused by the number of people in the house and to the transition from winter to summer, including switching off the central heating leaving hot water only. Oil costs have also changed significantly both up and down, of course oil is always more expensive when you are about to run out in cold weather. Having only moved in at the end of October 2009 it is too early to read to much into these results apart from fact the trend seems upwards due to oil cost pressures. The large dip in July 10is due to holidays and the large peaks in December 10 are due to the excessively cold winter where we experienced -19C on one occasion.
This graph shows the percentage oil cost saving by comparing costs with November 2009 to February 2010 as we started with no history. Now we have over a years worth of usage there is now starting to be a basis for proper comparisons. The green area of the graph shows when water heating only is used, with read showing when the full heating system is in use.
