The conversion factor used to obtain these figures is an approximation
since the actual figure depends on the mix of generation capacity
used to generate the electricity and the losses in the transmission

The graph below shows the cumulative saving of CO2
compared to the amount that would have been generated if electricity
consumption had remained stable at the original rate. In practice
it is likely it would have risen so these figures are probably an understatement.
