Summary Of Electricity Carbon Dioxide Savings

This graph shows how carbon dioxide generation has varied since the project to save electricity began. The conversion factor used to obtain these figures is an approximation since the actual figure depends on the mix of generation capacity used to generate the electricity and the losses in the transmission system. See Useful Conversion Factors for details.
This graph shows the cumulative saving of CO2 compared to the amount that would have been generated if electricity consumption had remained stable at the original rate. In practice it would have risen so these figures are probably an understatement.
